Welcome To "Our Happy Place"
Our Happy Place is a beautiful 4-square, 2,660 sq.ft. home with 3.5 baths, 4 bedrooms, and a 3rd floor that sleeps 5 and has a full bathroom. It is over 100 years old with all of the original woodwork and soaring ceilings that one would expect, but with also fully renovated kitchen and bathrooms. The cook's kitchen has stainless steel appliances, large island, a gas range and quartz counter tops.
Don't want to cook? No problem! You can walk to numerous downtown restaurants, bars, popcorn shops and ice cream stores! Enjoy "The District" during the summer where the street downtown is blocked off for live music on the weekends. You can also walk to the Jet Express ferry which will whisk you away to Put-in-Bay Island or Kellys Island for a day of adventure.
Play on the sandy beach, take a dip in Lake Erie, or just sit on the front porch rockers gazing at the lake and soaking in the breeze. Our Happy Place is the ultimate lake-front escape and is one of the only vacation home rentals on iconic Perry Street in Port Clinton, Ohio.

We have stayed at too many vacation rentals where the owners clean the sheets but not the quilts for each new guest. At Our Happy Place, all bedding linens and quilts are crisp and freshly laundered for each new guest.

Watching the sunset can boost your mood. The act of watching the sun go down can be a calming and awe-inspiring experience that can help you feel more relaxed and content. It's also a great way to appreciate the beauty of the natural world, which can help boost your overall well-being.

- Bedding - Leave them on the bed.
- Towels - Place all used towels in Laundry Room
- Dishes - Put dirty dishes in the dishwater. Add a detergent tab and run it.
- Food - Remove all of the food from refrigerator and place in trash. NOTE: If you have an unopened, non-perishable item that you do not want to transport back with you, then you can leave it on the kitchen counter and we will donate it to the local food pantry.
- Trash - Empty all waste baskets and recycle containers. Take outside and place it in appropriate containers next to garage. Trash pick-up is Thursday Morning before 9:00 AM, so please take trash containers down to the end of driveway. On Thursday please return containers next to garage. NOTE: Recycled items are picked up every other week. If not picked up that week please return the container next to garage.
- Lights - Turn OFF all lights.
- AC - Turn AC to 72 degrees - NOTE: IN WINTER AC SHOULD NOT be turned on.
- Heat - Turn Heat to 65 degrees.
- Doors and Windows - Lock and close all doors and windows when you leave.
- TVs - Logout your name and password.
